My First Day in Banff
Kelowna is home to the waterfront City Park and lots o’ wine. It was a short stop on our way to Vancouver, and after just 24 hours there, I was thinking…why have I never heard of this place before?!?
We stayed at Samesun Kelowna, which definitely has the whole laid back beach vibe going on. Highly recommend if you just want a chill hostel full of people who like the water.
We had an easy night and were up early to head out for stand up paddleboarding in one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen (besides every other lake in Canada)!
I was a little nervous because I’d never done it before, but it took about 5 seconds in the water for my nerves to disappear. I have this fear of lake water because the stuff I’m used to around Dallas is just..well, nasty.
Here are some pics I got when I wasn’t busy paddling away. I think we would have all happily spent the day on the beach if we didn’t have to make it to our next destination.

Have you ever been to Kelowna? What other amazing parts of Canada do I need to know about?! Ever tried stand up paddleboarding?
